Film company Logo Research

The First one we have looked at is the most recognisable and easily remembered film company logo in the world. 'Universal Studies' This is an incredibly simple design with the companies name in Bold letters across a picture of the world. This is in bright-ish colours which makes it easy to remember and recognise in the future after you have seen it once. 'Universal' Is also a very simple name for a film company.

The second one we looked at is one of the most recognised and famous logos in the Film industry. 'Warner Brothers' I have chosen to look at the old style black and white version as this is a simple although well thought-out and effective design which we want to take inspiration from in our film company logo. The logo has big and bold, black letters with the initials of 'WB' which make it a really simple and easy design to remember.

The third one I have looked at is another famous one which has really grown since it has produced the 'Saw' film series. It is very different compared to the first one as it is more complex and takes on a less simple design and it is similar to the films it produces which we also want to take inspiration from. The logo design also has barbed wire wrapped around the bold letters giving it an interesting and original design. Although I don't think this particular logo is as good as the other ones we have looked at, as this is most complex of the logos and will have been the most difficult to design and make.

Paramount is also one of the most famous Film companies and logos throughout the world and it has been altered slightly many times since its formation in 1914. It has a clear and well-noticable logo in the mountain which can be recognised without the name of 'Paramount pictures' or just 'Paramount' on it which is what we want our logo to be like. The logo which we are looking at is also the old black and white version and gives a great, clear outline of the mountain which is the main part of the logo and the bit which is easiest to remember.
